Background Information

Mapambazuko Training Centre (MMM Ngaramtoni) was established in 1983 by The Medical Missionaries of Mary. It is situated 12km from Arusha town on the main Arusha/Nairobi road opposite the police station in Ngaramtoni village.

Mapambazuko Training Centre has a good name for the capacity building and training of many lay people here in Tanzania. As Medical Missionaries of Mary – we also facilitate the spiritual capacity building of religious.  Our centre offers an opportunity for “religious people to think quietly, to speak gently and to hear the voice of God”.

Mapambazuko training centre is located in a rural setting at the foot of Mount Meru. It has a homely and relaxed atmosphere. The bedrooms look onto the flower gardens and at the entrance to the conference room one can sit, relax and admire Mount Meru's varied profiles from being covered with clouds to being snow capped to having the evening sun illuminate it. One can enjoy a relaxed stroll within the grounds, which are bordered by a tree line path. Although Mapambazuko Training centre is quiet and secluded, local transport and buses from Nairobi stop outside the gate. The main bus stand and the market are within walking distance. The center offers good and quality food as well.
